Women's Philanthropy Soars to Nearly $785,000

The 17th Annual Women’s Division Mosaic Luncheon held on April 11, and co-chaired by Marcia Levy, Deborah Rudy and Robyn Sperling, brought together over 625 women in our community for a day of inspiration and philanthropy.

The program honored Margo Smith with the 2016 Woman of Valor Award and featured Nancy Spielberg, producer and philanthropist as keynote speaker. Women's Division Co-Chairs, Lauren Halpern and Vicki Osherow also shared remarks with the audience.

The Table Captain Co-Chairs, Kristi Katz, Kimberly Luskey, F.A. Midlo and Tracy Solomon ensured that a diverse representation of Austin's Jewish community attended Mosaic 2016.

All proceeds from Mosaic benefit the 2016 Jewish Federation Annual Campaign, the Jewish community’s primary philanthropic appeal that cares for people in need and strengthens Jewish life in Austin, Israel and around the world.

So far, women have contributed $785,000 to the 2016 Annual Campaign, most of which was raised at Mosaic. An inspiring day led to a 13 percent increase for event attendees compared to last year. Two hundred sixteen women increased their gifts, including 94 new donors. To date, the campaign has raised nearly $1.6 million from over 1000 donors.
