Jewish War Veterans Post 757 Presents Panel on Jews and Guns
Jewish War Veterans Post 757 is presenting Issues that Divide Us: Jews and Guns on Sunday, August 20. The second panel discussion in an annual series, the event will include a buffet brunch. Proceeds will go to wounded veterans in Texas.
Bob Kaplan, JWV Post 757 past commander, will serve as moderator. The panel will include Mike Miller, founder and captain of the Jewish Rifle and Pistol Club of Central Texas and former president of Calico Light Weapons Systems; Mary Lynn Rice Lively, Texas Gun Sense president; Michael Cargil, owner of Central Texas Gun Works and speaker on firearms and firearms policy in Central Texas; and David Reed, reserve deputy with the Travis County Sheriff’s office, former U.S. Marine pilot and a JWV member.
Issues that Divide Us: Jews and Guns will be held August 20 at 11 a.m. at the Austin Jewish Community Center, 7300 Hart Lane, Austin. Suggested donation at the door is $10. ■
