Enthusiastic Crowd Launches Outstanding JAMen Season

Enthusiastic Crowd Launches Outstanding JAMen Season

More than 120 men came together on Wednesday evening, September 13 at the JCC for the opening event of the third season of the Jewish Austin Men Dinner (JAMen) and Speakers Forum.

Welcomed by co-Chairs Burt Kunik and Jay Rubin, the participants listened to a spellbinding portrait of @realKingDavid by author and educator Rabbi David Wolpe of Sinai Temple in Los Angeles and shared in a spirited Q&A. Wolpe, named the most influential rabbi in America by Newsweek and one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world by The Jerusalem Post,  also spoke to the Women's Division Lions of Judah the following morning on the differences between men and women in Judaism.

The next JAMen Forum takes place on Wednesday, October 18 and features Scott Haltzman, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist and internationally-recognized author and expert on infidelity, marriage and committed relationships. He will address "The Secrets of Happily Married Men."

Future speakers include legendary musician Ray Benson and football coach and ESPN analyst Mack Brown.

For more information or to signup for JAMen membership, contact Carly Karten at (512) 735-8044 or visit shalomaustin.org/JAMen.
