This fall semester, AJA kicked off its year-long Thrive Speaker Series to engage parents, educators and community members in rich, collaborative learning opportunities themed around student success. From empowering parents to serve as social-emotional learning coaches, to helping 21st century learners to develop innovative problem-solving skills and grit, AJA’s dynamic Thrive speakers celebrate the essential partnerships between home and school, which help AJA students to thrive.

In September, professional school counselor, Elise Martens Edwards, led an engaging discussion about Parents as Social-Emotional Learning Coaches.

AJA is featuring University of Texas at Austin professor, and Two Guys on Your Head radio co-host Art Markman December 12. He will discuss nurturing students’ strong problem-solving skills.

AJA invites the community to attend future Thrive speaking engagements and partner with the school to inspire a community of students to transform the world. ■
