From the CEO: May Their Memories Be for a Blessing

Austin with the rest of the nation continues to mourn with the Pittsburgh community in the wake of the horrific events of October 27, when a shooter murdered 11 people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

As our hearts weep for the victims of this tragedy, we are devastated by this senseless act of violence and hate. Our community must stand in unity—k’lal yisrael—in the face of anti-Semitism and hatred and bigotry of all kinds.

This month, we dedicate this space to the victims who died during the tragedy: David Rosenthal, 54, Cecil Rosenthal, 59, Bernice Simon, 84, Sylvan Simon, 86, Daniel Stein, 71, Jerry Rabinowitz, 66, Richard Gottfried, 65, Joyce Fienberg, 75, Rose Mallinger, 97, Melvin Wax, 88, Irving Younger, 69.

Zichronam livracha – May their memories be for a blessing.
