Hadassah Starts Fall Programming with TED Mini

Hadassah’s Austin chapter is offering an opportunity to hear engaging speakers, catch up with old friends and meet new ones at The Power of Women Who Do, a mini-TED Talk format event.

The event will be held Thursday, Nov. 8. Speakers and topics include Nicole Villalpando, who will discuss a twenty-first century reporter's adaptation to the changing newsroom in the age of Buzzfeed and Twitter; Gail Miller, who will discuss how everyone can be a philanthropist; Cathy Schechter, who will discuss confronting age and ageism; and Robin Davis, who will discuss a dietitian's view on food trends.

Each speaker will talk for 10 minutes on topics that will inform, entertain and motivate the audience to improve the community and themselves. ■
