Shalom Austin Launches Affinity Groups for Tech Professionals, Interfaith Parents and Adults 55+

Shalom Austin is launching affinity groups this year, giving community members an opportunity to make connections with peers and create a deeper sense of belonging in the Austin community. Members of affinity groups will have the opportunity to participate in social, educational and philanthropic programming with other adults, united by common interests.

An informational meeting for each affinity group will take place in the spring. These meetings will explain the structure and details about each program, provide an opportunity to meet other people who are interested in joining, and offer community members a chance to voice ideas about their vision for each group. All affinity groups will officially launch in the fall.

Blue Knot

Technology professionals looking for career development, to learn and grow in the field, and to connect with others in the Jewish community, are invited to join this exciting tech initiative. Through this group, participants will get to know each other and other technology professionals in the Austin community to develop relationships on a professional and personal level.

Interfaith Parenting Circle
Monday, March 25, 7 p.m.
JCC, Room 150D

For parents of another religious or cultural background who are raising Jewish children, this group will create a comfortable space to learn about Jewish rituals and holidays while connecting with other parents who can relate to those experiences.
