IGNITE! Shalom Austin’s Premiere Fundraising Event of 2018: A Night Not to Be Missed

IGNITE! Shalom Austin’s Premiere Fundraising Event of 2018: A Night Not to Be Missed

On March 25 at the JW Marriott in Downtown Austin, IGNITE! will bring together the entire community – men, women and young adults – on one night for an opportunity to celebrate and support the vibrant Jewish community in Austin. The first event of its kind for Shalom Austin, IGNITE! will educate and inspire – highlighting the ongoing and growing needs of the Jewish community, near and far as well as ways to get more engaged in the organization. Through compelling stories, mission-centric visuals, and interactive stations, event attendees will be motivated to build connections and spark the light of giving.

The evening will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m., complete with hors d’ouevres, cocktails and mingle time. Guests will be seated theatre-style for an inspiring program and opportunity to support Shalom Austin, followed by comedic entertainment. Colin Jost, co-anchor of Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, will regale the crowd with his stand-up comedy. And if that wasn’t enough fun for one evening, the event will end with an after-party featuring live music.

All attendees will be asked to make a meaningful gift to the 2018 Shalom Austin Annual Campaign which cares for people in need, creates vibrant Jewish life and connects with our global Jewish community. Attendees will also be educated on the Generations Campaign and the Jewish Foundation.

With more than 500 tickets already sold, IGNITE! is on track to be Shalom Austin’s largest event ever. Tickets are available at shalomaustin.org/IGNITE for $55 and will increase to $70 on March 1.

IGNITE! is chaired by Dana Baruch & Mike Krell and David Kline & Stephanie Yamin and the over 200-person host committee is led by Julie & Ari Franklin, Candy & David Goldstein, Carly & Aaron Sansom, Tracy & Rob Solomon, Lonnie Karotkin Taub & Albert Taub, Julie & Ben Waltzer, and Sharon & Greg Yamin. ■
