Hadassah Discusses the World of Human Trafficking

The Greater Southwest Region of Hadassah is sponsoring a discussion on human trafficking, Hiding in Plain Sight: What You Should Know. The event will be held Sunday, April 15, from noon until 3 p.m. at the Hilton Austin Airport, 9515 Hotel Drive.

Speakers include Andrea Sparks, director of the governor’s child sex trafficking team; Jessica Robledo, Pflugerville police chief; Steven Phenix, communication director of The Refuge for Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking; and Toni Mc Kinley, therapeutic director of The Refuge.

The Refuge for Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking provide trauma-informed, long-term restoration community with on-site services for girls, minors through age 19, who have been exploited through sex trafficking.

The Hadassah event fee includes lunch and program. Cost is $30 for members, $36 for non-members. ■
