Unseen Interview with David Ben-Gurion Captivates Community

By Wendy Goodman

On April 14, Austin Jewish Film Festival with Shalom Austin were thrilled to present Ben-Gurion, Epilogue, an award-winning documentary by Yariv Mozer at the Jewish Community Center. The film uncovers never-before-seen footage from a six-hour interview with Israel’s founder David Ben-Gurion in 1968 when he was 82 years old. In the 60-minute documentary, Ben-Gurion discusses Zionism, the Six-Day War, the establishment of the State of Israel, love, life and retirement. Filmmaker Mozer was on hand to share stories with the audience about first discovering the footage in the Spielberg Archives and the process of making the movie.
