A Day at Shalom Austin Gives Donors a Glimpse of Their Impact

On a camp tour led by Jessica Ochs, Youth & Teen Director

By Amy Hyman

Shalom Austin held its first ever mini-mission, A Day at Shalom Austin, July 12. Chaired by Lecia Sud, a dozen major donors witnessed firsthand the programs made possible and the lives positively impacted by their generous contributions to the Shalom Austin Annual Campaign. The mini-mission included a tour of the campus during Camp Shalom’s Israel Day, a conversation with a leader in training that found the support he needed through the inclusion program, lunch with the Israeli Scouts Caravan, and a performance by the Dell’s Angels. Financial assistance for camp, inclusion programming for children that need individualized attention, and the majority of the adult programs budget are just a few areas of impact made possible through the Annual Campaign. From baby to Bubbe, no single gift touches more lives. ■
