It was a heartfelt and bittersweet evening where the Austin Jewish community came together to honor and say farewell to Chief Programming Officer, Shelly Prant, who will be the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ronald Gardenswartz Jewish Community Center of Greater Albuquerque starting in August. Adam Roberts, AJRT Artistic Director, was the emcee and pianist for performances including long time Theater at the J Summer Youth Musicals actors and The Dell’s Angels. Special sentiments were shared from Susan Sternberg and the Visual Arts League (VAL). Former colleagues Sandy Powers and Crystal Connally presented a humorous “Shalom Austin After-life” survival kit. Cookie Ruiz and Billie Bledsoe of Ballet Austin played a short film in her honor and Shalom Austin created a touching tribute video. We will miss you Shelly! ■
