The Austin Jewish Business Network is Austin’s oldest Jewish Business Networking Group, formed in 1988 with more than 800 members. This month, AJBN highlights one of the group’s members, Diana Schaefer, LCSW, of Just Mind, Inc. which provides individual and couples psychotherapy.
Schaefer is from Port Chester, New York. She moved to Austin two years ago and joined AJBN right away. She has made several friends and business contacts as a result of her participation in AJBN, including hiring other members who provide various services.
AJBN asked Schaefer what she would tell someone else who was considering attending an AJBN event to encourage them to come.
Schaefer said, “It’s a great way to network and meet Jewish people.”
To contact Schaefer for her psychotherapy services, call 512-843-7665, extension 35, or email email@example.com.
Join AJBN for happy hour to mingle, mix, schmooze, make new friends and exchange business for free. On May 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., the group will meet at Applied Chiropractic, 8500 North Mopac Expressway, #401, Austin, TX 78759. Each month a different business sponsors AJBN’s happy hours, and in May, Jeffrey Shefts is the host.

AJBN invites to its monthly networking meetings all Jews, those partnered with Jews and JCC members. AJBN welcomes people in all fields and professions, people hiring, people looking for work, people providing services, entrepreneurs, those who work for others, those new in town and who have been living in Austin for years. Bring business cards, promotional materials, resumes and announcements to share.
Are you are interested in sponsoring or hosting an AJBN happy hour? Sponsorship is an excellent opportunity to get your name and business out in front of a large part of the community.
Sponsorship and hosting provide promotion and visibility to more than 800 AJBN members via Meetup, LinkedIn and Facebook; exposure to almost the entire Jewish community and JCC members via The Jewish Outlook and JCC and synagogue bulletins; and 10 to 15 minutes live promotion of your business to the attendees at the event.
Choose from upcoming AJBN available dates, the third Tuesday of each month from 6-8 p.m.: July 16, August 20, September 17, October 15 and Dec. 17.
Sponsorship and hosting can be shared with multiple businesses, and all involved receive promotion. Sponsors and hosts provide venue, appetizers, beverages and door prizes. AJBN typically has 25 to 40 people in attendance.
