JCRS Undergraduate College Aid Deadline Coming Up May 31
By Ned Goldberg
Jewish youth from seven mid-South states have until May 31 to be among more than 100 undergraduate college students Jewish Children’s Regional Service will fund with need-based financial assistance for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic year.
Applications received by the deadline will receive priority funding and those received after that date will be considered if funds are still available.
Late applications to the JCRS education and camp scholarship programs are not eligible for maximum awards. Applications for the special needs program are accepted throughout the year.
JCRS has provided social services, care and funding to Jewish youth from Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas since 1855. It is the oldest Jewish children’s agency in the United States.
Today, numerous lay leaders and professionals throughout the United States were assisted as youth by JCRS. Many stories about these individuals appear on the JCRS website and annual impact reports. ■
Applications are available online at www.jcrs.org. The agency’s phone number is 1-800-729-5277. JCRS headquarters address is P.O Box 7368, Metairie, LA 70010-7368.
