First the good news. The 2011 Jewish Federation of Greater Austin Annual Campaign, under the visionary leadership of Vice Chair of Philanthropy Margo Smith, raised $2,073,069 compared to $1,825,980 in 2010 for a $247,089 or 13.5 percent increase. This is the first increased campaign since 2008. Thank you to all our wonderful donors, volunteers and professionals who contributed mightily to this effort.

For the first time, the Jewish Federation of Greater Austin’s Men’s Division and Women’s Division Campaign events will be held during the same week, a model that our neighbors in Dallas have found to be successful in energizing the community around philanthropy.
Mosaic 2012, co-chaired by Randi Shade and Shari Stein, celebrates its “Bat Mitzvah” year on Thursday, March 29 at the Westin Austin at the Domain.
